A Wastewater Treatment Plant in Shandong
Recently, the online water quality monitoring system supplied by Chunye Technology for a wastewater treatment plant in Shandong completed installation and commissioning and was officially put into operation. The system covers the main parameters including COD, ammonia nitrogen, total phosphorus and total nitrogen. All data has been connected to the plant's central control platform, providing a real-time basis for effluent compliance.

Project Overview

Project site of a wastewater treatment plant in Shandong
This project covers system design and model selection, equipment supply, installation and commissioning, and operation guidance, with fully matched equipment configuration and batch delivery. The system deploys the T9000 CODcr analyzer, T9001 ammonia nitrogen analyzer, T9002 total phosphorus analyzer (new standard) and T9003 total nitrogen analyzer for routine four-parameter monitoring; the T9013Z orthophosphate analyzer and W8330 online residual chlorine analyzer (with CL8000L electrode) cover special parameters; the W8000J sludge level meter (with CS6080 probe) monitors sludge level; additionally equipped with the W8087 ammonia nitrogen analyzer (with CS6714A electrode), online pH/ORP meters, samplers, electrode mounting brackets, instrument enclosures and other accessories.
Installation and Commissioning
The equipment was positioned and piping connected according to the monitoring points: the distance between the analyzer room and sampling points was controlled within 50 meters, with the instrument floor installed 300 mm above the sampling port. The sampling line uses rigid PVC pipes, with a Φ20 overflow pipe and a Φ32 outlet pipe laid separately. The pipes are laid with a downward slope to prevent water retention, ensuring smooth sample flow and winter freeze protection.

Outdoor installation: column-mounted instrument enclosure
Sampling pumps are selected by distance: a 350W submersible pump for distances within 20 meters, and a 550–750W submersible pump for distances beyond 20 meters; the sample feed flow is stabilized at 50–200 L/min. High-power pumps are controlled via AC relays, and data transmission runs over RS232/RS485.
Commissioning was performed unit by unit in accordance with specifications: after reagents and standard solutions were in place, instrument initialization and pipeline flushing were completed, followed by calibration and standard sample verification; automatic calibration is triggered when data falls outside the set range, and the instruments are finally switched to measurement operation. The supporting process instruments were calibrated by comparison against field water samples and portable instrument data.
With the "quick commissioning" workflow, the instruments automatically generate commissioning reports. The automatic calibration cycle is adjustable from 1 to 99 days, and one-key maintenance automatically drains old reagents and rinses the pipelines, significantly reducing maintenance workload.

Technical Highlights

The measurement methods cover the mainstream national standard system: the T9000 CODcr analyzer adopts the potassium dichromate oxidation spectrophotometric method and can mask up to 20,000 mg/L chloride ions; the T9002 total phosphorus analyzer is designed to the new standard with a lower limit of quantification (LOQ) of ≤ 0.02 mg/L; the W8330 residual chlorine analyzer uses polarographic differential signal measurement for strong anti-interference capability and stable performance.
Project Significance

This project is another delivered case of Chunye Technology serving the wastewater treatment market in Shandong. Going forward, the company will continue to support more wastewater treatment plants in achieving compliant discharge and intelligent operation with the complete product line of "routine four parameters + special parameters + supporting accessories."
