Case Study | Complete Monitoring Equipment of Chunye Technology Successfully Put into Operation at a Sewage Treatment Plant in Mianyang

Recently, Shanghai Chunye Instrument Technology Co., Ltd. announced a successful project delivery. Its professional technical service team completed on-site installation and joint commissioning of a full set of online pollution source monitoring equipment for a sewage treatment plant in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. The project has been officially handed over and put into production, setting a benchmark case for digital supervision of local sewage treatment.

After comparing multiple solutions, the plant finally selected Chunye’s one-stop integrated environmental monitoring solution. The project adopts self-developed data acquisition and transmission instruments, as well as complete online water quality monitoring equipment for COD, ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorus. All supporting software and hardware are fully matched to realize 24-hour fully automatic monitoring of discharged sewage. Monitoring data can be directly uploaded to the environmental supervision platform, completely making up for the shortcomings of the original manual monitoring mode in the plant.

Upon project launch, Chunye’s engineering team rushed to the Mianyang site immediately. Combined with the layout of the plant station room and actual conditions of sewage discharge points, they formulated a standardized construction plan and completed the whole process including instrument installation, pipeline layout, communication docking and system trial operation in an orderly manner. Benefiting from the native compatibility of the full range of self-developed equipment, no additional conversion accessories were required on site, greatly shortening the construction and commissioning cycle. After multiple rounds of continuous data uploading verification and overall stability tests, the whole system ran smoothly and passed the joint acceptance by the plant’s operation and maintenance department.

Before the renovation, the sewage plant relied on regular manual sampling and testing, which suffered poor timeliness of monitoring. Paper records also failed to meet the mandatory supervision requirements of environmental authorities on data traceability and anti-tampering. After introducing Chunye’s complete online monitoring system, the plant realized automatic collection and reporting of key pollution indicators at the main discharge outlet. The system can automatically distinguish operating states such as normal operation, calibration and equipment failure. Data will be cached automatically during network fluctuations and retransmitted once the network recovers, fundamentally avoiding data loss. The whole system complies with relevant national standards for online environmental monitoring, greatly facilitating daily environmental supervision of the plant.

During the 72-hour non-stop trial operation, the complete equipment delivered stable data transmission and complete indicator collection without disconnection or data loss. The person in charge of the sewage plant highly recognized the project implementation effect.

The Mianyang sewage project marks another practical case of Chunye Technology in Southwest China.
